Job Summary: The Enterprise Program Management Office is seeking a Vice President, Insurance Business Systems Program Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing the execution of agile delivery for multiple platforms supporting end-to-end submission management and the policy lifecycle. A suitable candidate is an accomplished insurance leader with significant hands-on experience in managing the end to end implementation and value creation of Insurance Solutions, in partnership with IT. The candidate also is experienced and has demonstrated success with leading highly complex agile SAFe programs. This is a hybrid position based in Warren, NJ working 3 days in office, 2 remote. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Manage a team of Underwriting and Operations Product Managers and Product Owners in the Product Management function for this program; coordinates activities, manages priorities, and supports a culture of execution and accountability. Act as a facilitator between business and technology teams to align and execute against common goals, shares knowledge, solves problems, designs common reusable assets, and maximizes the use of existing capabilities and frameworks. Facilitate the creation of documentation for various stakeholder meetings and senior leadership updates. Facilitate business and technology teams to ensure effective business and technology resource planning across systems and application efforts. Work closely with finance and other key stakeholders to align and manage scope, cost, schedule, quality, dependencies, and risks to meet program goals Work with the functional leaders in the organization to tackle various operational issues as needed Lead and manage through influence vs. direct authority Provide objectivity and transparency on initiative’s status on behalf of the company Model the behaviors of strong execution discipline across the company Proactively anticipate risks, opportunities, dependencies and costs, plan resources, milestones and deliverables to manage and implement projects. Provide recommendations to address challenges, risks, and issues. Qualifications, Education & Experience: At least 10 years of experience in insurance technology projects/programs At least 7 years of experience leading systems integration projects with many internal and external interfaces Knowledge and experience across Underwriting process and driving standardization Superior communication skills and ability to interact with business and IT resources at all levels Agile experience required BS in risk management, business, technology, engineering, or related field Knowledge, Skills & Competencies: Ability to influence decision making with focus on business outcomes Strong communication, negotiation, documentation, organization, and planning skills Ability to create strong relationships and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and end users Ability to manage complex projects Program Management discipline and methodology Problem solver with a strong sense of individual ownership and accountability Ability to work both constructively in a team environment as well as effectively independently in a dynamic environment Ability to communicate effectively with both business and IT partners Proficiency with MS Office Suite Our Culture At Everest, our purpose is to provide the world with protection.
