Position Summary
The Marketing Manager in this role will lead strategy and management of campaigns to execute and drive revenue growth through direct mail campaigns to new and existing customers. This is a key role on our team, responsible for both strategic direction and day-to-day optimization and execution of campaigns for our largest customer acquisition channel. In this role, you will partner with Business Intelligence, Operations, Finance, and other core Marketing functions to develop, execute, and measure campaigns that are the biggest drivers of growth for Oncourse.
This role can be located in one of our offices in Mt. Laurel, NJ or Naperville, IL. Our office environment is a key driver of our company culture and employee experience, so a regular in-office hybrid model (generally T-TH in office and M & F remote) is required. Some travel required up to 10%.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Drive strategy for campaigns focused on new customer acquisition and cross-sell initiatives through the direct mail channel.
  • Lead development and optimization of: targeting methodologies (data modeling, segmentation techniques, etc.), creative design, and execution
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date reporting on campaign effectiveness and performance to plan. Develop relationships with Business Intelligence, Data Science, and Marketing Operations to uncover insights, and refine reporting on performance, efficiency, and spend.
  • Work closely with the Partnerships team to drive strategic direction and growth plans, along with regular performance updates.
  • Partner with Marketing Operations, Production, and Creative Services to execute campaigns on-time and error-free.
  • Own all budgeting for your campaigns, on an annual and on-going basis, to reflect performance as well as growth areas of additional spend and revenue

Experience and Qualifications for this role
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven success planning, forecasting, and managing direct to consumer marketing activities across multichannel campaigns including both digital and print media.
  • Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Proven strategic planning skills with the ability to assess risk and reward trade-offs to effectively capitalize on both current and future opportunities, and to develop successful marketing plans on a partner/market basis.
  • Strong decision making and analytical skills to utilize data effectively to drive actions.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
  • Excellent relationship building skills with strong and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective Management skills with the ability to grasp the bigger picture and develop processes to achieve desired results.
  • Self-starter, creative problem solver, persuasive, and thorough, and strong team player.
Education (preferred and or required)
  • Bachelor’s degree marketing, business or related discipline.
  • Masters preferred.
Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suites
  • Accomplished user of Excel and various project management software.
