Job description
This assembly position is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely assembly of finished products and the parts and/or components that go into the finished product. The assembly position performs a variety of assembly operations as assigned by the department manager and/or business needs.
· Treat others in the workplace with respect and dignity.
· Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines, including all company and department safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
· Successfully complete on-the-job training and training period.
· Read and understand blueprints and/or schematics.
· Align or position components and/or parts either manually or with hoists.
· Use hand tools, machines, and/or power tools to trim, cut, adjust, and assemble parts.
· Connect components and/or parts with bolts, screws, adhesives, and/or fasteners.
· Apply stickers, tape, adhesives, solvent cement, decals, and labels.
· Assemble products in accordance with work instructions and/or blueprint/schematic specifications.
· Clean and maintain work area, equipment, and tools.
· Report damages of equipment and/or tools to the department manager.
· Report unsafe work areas to the department manager.
· Report faulty components and/or parts throughout the assembly process to the department manager.
· Only when applicable training has been completed an Assembler may be required to use modern manufacturing systems or equipment including, but not limited to robots, computers, and/or other technologies.
· Use of handheld tools include, but are not limited to a tape measure, rivet guns, hammer, caulk-guns, and other handheld tools.
· Rotate through different tasks throughout the final assembly of finished products.
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Experience:
· A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
· Prior work experience in similar industry is preferred, but not required.
