Job Summary: Middle School Humanities at Day School encompasses English Language Arts and Social Studies for grades 5 through 8. In 2024-2025, this role will focus primarily on English for grades 6 and 7 and social studies for grade 5. The Day School English program develops students’ abilities to use the English language through reading, literary analysis, and writing. Students also focus on grammar and writing conventions in order to develop composition and critical thinking skills. Day School’s Humanities Department embraces a variety of text and media to reach our diverse student population and foster a global perspective.
