The Chief of Schools Management is a member of the Instructional Leadership department and is responsible for supporting the Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Leadership in the principal and assistant principal development and oversight of schools. The primary responsibilities include managing, developing, and evaluating the performance of a core of school principals. The Chief of Schools Management will provide leadership and instructional coaching, serve as a resource to principals, assistant principals and school teams to achieve defined objectives and essential functions as described below, while maintaining services in compliance with established state of IL and District 65 guidelines, policies and procedures. This role reports to the Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Leadership and serves as an integral member of the Instructional Leadership team.
Qualifications:
Education Required:
Masters degree in Education or job-related area
Ph.D./Ed.D. preferred
Position Qualifications:
Minimum of (3) years of school leader experience
Minimum of (5) years of experience as an educator
Professional Educators License with:
General Administrative or Principal Endorsement
Subject matter Endorsements (Math, Science English/Language Arts, Social Studies)
