Summary/Objective

The MEP Assistant Superintendent contributes and supports the execution of specific mechanical, electrical and systems needs of our complex project types in our Advanced Technology, Life Sciences and Manufacturing core markets throughout the United States. The MEP Assistant Superintendent supports Superintendents and other field personnel in the planning, management, execution and project completion of assigned Projects. The Assistant Superintendent should be able to manage day-to-day Project activities, identify and ensure prompt resolution of issues, and work together with the Project Team to ensure the Work is proceeding safely, on schedule, within budget and according to contract requirements and specifications. This role supervises all Trade Partners for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Low Voltage Systems, and equipment vendors on our projects from procurement to final commissioning of the project. The Assistant Superintendent will be assigned to/work from Evans' jobsites.

Duties and Responsibilities

• In collaboration with Superintendent, enforce safety and legal regulations to ensure a safe jobsite
• Assist Superintendent in the monitoring of daily activities and compile reports on progress, compliance, and obstacles
• Coordinates complex MEP systems throughout the BIM, submittal, construction, QAQC and Commissioning phases of the project. 
• Perform QAQC on MEP scopes to ensure compliance with client expectations and Contract Documents. 
• Understanding of low voltage systems such as BMS, EPMS, SCADA, Fire Alarm, Security and Telecom
• Execute Methods of Procedure (MOP)_for MEP startup and commissioning activities. Acts as an energy marshal to ensure proper LOTO and energy control procedures are in place.
• Actively participates in planning, scheduling or MEP work, startup and commissioning activities.
• Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships and communication with Owner, Onsite Project Team, Consultants/Architect/Engineers and Subcontractors
• Assist Superintendent in the submission of daily reports
• Attend and participate in project meetings, including subcontractor meetings
• Communicate with subcontractors and field staff to ensure adherence to schedules, plans, and specifications
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

• Prior experience as a construction/MEP foreman or equivalent role is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science or Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering is preferred, but industry hires with relevant experience are desirable. 
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in commercial construction industry, 3-5 years is preferred 
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety laws
• Ability to multitask
• Flexible work hours
• Travel to jobsites as needed
