Summary: 

We are searching for an Electrical Estimator in any of our office locations, whom is responsible for preparing and/or coordinating the preparation of complete and accurate estimates on projects. In addition, this person is responsible for preparing the proposal package, which includes preliminary schedule, clarifications, comprehensive estimates and quantity survey, among other project-specific documents. As a key role in our organization, Estimators are expected to build effective relationships with team members, external customers, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Will be required to review bid documents and specifications, and read blueprints
  • Responsible for managing assigned projects
  • Effectively communicate bid scope and project details
  • Develop and maintain relationships with, clients, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Prepare bid packages
  • Consult with clients, subcontractors, vendors, or others to discuss and formulate estimates
  • Review and analyze subcontractor proposals
  • Attend scope review meetings and project turn over meetings
  • Must be detail oriented and organized

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years’ experience in electrical estimating
  • Working knowledge of electrical installation and estimating techniques
  • Ability to perform detailed work and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
