This often includes providing support with preparation of contract-administration documents, both up and downstream, of a variety of types: notices (delay, claims, default, termination), change orders, change directives, certificates of substantial completions of unusual complexity, etc.

In this phase of a Project, this role will also review and negotiate subcontracts, design agreements, purchase orders, and other contracts.

  1. Post-Construction: Counsel Project Teams on post-completion issues such as warranty work, insurance claims, lien claims from lower tier subcontractors or suppliers, and similar matters.
  • Work with, and oversee, outside counsel handling Evans’ legal proceedings and/or claims including the development of strategy, recommendations to Senior Management, and budget.
  • Assist with state and federal regulatory compliance.
  • Aid in the design, development, and implementation of processes and procedures for running the Legal Department to drive results and advance business objectives.
