Knowledge, skills, education, and/or experience: BS in Science/Environmental fields
Mandatory skills/certification(s) Requirement: Strong communication, data management and organizational skills are required. Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Access, or other data processing applications. Coursework or a background in finances would also be an asset.
Job Duties in brief:
Assists Public Water Systems with complying with Federal & State Safe Drinking Water Act standards &
requirements.
Conducting preliminary reviews of reports
Compiling info for management
Managing various special projects and assignments supporting the section’s overall operations.
Assisting with preparing and developing reports or queries to assist with data interpretation.
Performs routine, repetitive, clerical work of a varied nature; does other related duties as required.
Maintains & prepares mailing lists & files.
Addresses & mails department correspondence.
Gives information according to department regulations, in person and by telephone.
Answers the telephone and takes messages accurately & professionally.
Operates office machines and equipment.
Will be required to learn various types of office programs & software necessary to perform duties.
