ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (May include but not limited to the following)
- Performs deliveries and pickups via a 26/28’ straight truck
- Moves product, fixtures, supplies between Distribution Center, Stores and from Vendors
- Assures shipment security by following locking / sealing protocols
- Counts cartons when deliveries are made to the stores and to the distribution center to ensure accuracy. Notes any discrepancies on the delivery log
- Documents product shipment by recording cartons, fixtures, other goods that are delivered or picked up
- Maintains equipment clean and operable by washing and by completing pre-use inspections, making operator repairs, reporting defective or damaged equipment
- Fuels truck as required
- Assists in supporting loading / unloading operations within the DC as required
- Communicate issues and problems on a timely basis to lead / supervisor
- May be required to utilize skills from previous positions (material handler, cherry picker operator) on occasion in order to support business needs
