Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. As a Painter, you will be responsible for applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to vehicles, ensuring high-quality results. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in auto body repair and restoration who takes pride in their work.
Duties:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary
- Mix paints and match colors to achieve desired results
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using various techniques such as brushing, rolling, or spraying
- Ensure smooth and even application of paint to achieve a professional finish
- Buff and polish painted surfaces to remove imperfections and enhance shine
- Perform minor repairs on vehicles such as filling dents or scratches before painting
- Use power tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Painter in an auto body repair or restoration setting
- Strong knowledge of paint mixing, color matching, and application techniques
- Proficient in using power tools and equipment related to painting
- Detail-oriented with excellent attention to color, texture, and finish
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or dealership personnel
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in auto glass installation or repair is a plus
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures is beneficial
Note: This is a paid position. Internship positions must also be compensated according to labor laws.
