**Job Description**

**Position Summary:**

This role ensures efficient and accurate running of a fast-paced laboratory. Tasks include sample receipt and processing, interaction with clients, and administrative tasks.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

Regular attendance and punctuality

Collect samples from on-site drop box

Unpack shipments and document receipt of sample

Organize and record samples

Data entry into LIMS

Maintenance of the department and lab, including stocking supplies and housekeeping

Phone and email correspondence with clients

Review analytical reports quickly and accurately

Scan and send out reports in a timely manner

Assist with customer services

Handle interactions with walk-in clients

Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner

Perform other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**

**Education/Experience (BMQ):**

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience in a fast-paced work environment

Lab experience and exposure to environmental industry preferred.

**Ability and/or Skills (BMQ):**

Strong computer, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, adaptable, and a positive attitude

Handle moderate stress in a fast-paced environment

Detail oriented

**Additional Information**

Full-time position, Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (other hours as needed). Candidates living within a commutable distance of Cary, NC are encouraged to apply.
