These include:o Preparation of samples using standard techniqueso Performing chemical analysis using standard techniqueso Calculating datao Recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisoro Performing routine instrument maintenanceResponsible for performing job functions in compliance with Eurofins’ EHS and QA standardsResponsible for general housekeeping in his/her work areaAbility to become trained and competent on complex instrumentation including but not limited to gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, ICP, and instrument specific data systems.Works under close supervision using routine and standard methodsAliquots and weighs samplesWashes glasswareConducts all activities in a safe and efficient mannerPerforms other duties as assignedThe ideal candidate would possess:Ability to use calculator/mathematical formulas and conceptsAbility to complete work within time and quality constraintsCan work independently following written or verbal instructionsCooperate and coordinate both orally and in writingAble to follow and learn appropriate protocols in one or more of the following disciplines:o Organic preparationo Metals preparation and analysiso Gas Chromatographyo Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometryo Radio Chemistryo Wet Chemistryo High Resolution preparation and analysiso Low Resolution preparation and analysisQualificationsBasic Minimum Qualifications:BS or BA in chemistry or related field; 3 years laboratory experience may substitute for degree.Laboratory experience is a plusPrevious production-oriented work helpful (awareness and ability to meet deadlines)Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorshipAdditional InformationPosition is full-time Monday - Friday, with overtime as needed. Various shifts available but 2nd shift availability preferred.
