When you join the EAS Group, you’ll become an integral team member in supporting laboratory and business processes through technical operations and physical activity while building upon a versatile skills set.Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for a Facilities Technician to work in Easton, MD.Facilities Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Assist scientists and other laboratory employees in the general day-to-day operation of the laboratory equipment.Maintains storage (organize and inventory), ensures equipment/supplies are available and in good working order.Maintain, repair, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment.Set up rooms and test units for studies.May handle regulated materials, potential biohazard materials, and toxic chemicals using proper labeling and dilution.Perform grounds maintenance including, but not limited to, mowing, removal of leaves, landscape maintenance, snow and ice removal, maintenance of driveways and parking areas.Assist with janitorial duties including, but not limited to, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning, sanitizing, restocking supplies, emptying trashcans, and maintaining janitorial equipment.Completes cleaning, maintenance, and assigned tasks as directed by supervisor.Communicates effectively and regularly with supervisor regarding timelines, project completion, and any issues that may arise.Completes documentation legibly, timely, and accurately according to all regulatory requirements.Maintains and completes equipment logbooks. QualificationsThe ideal candidate would possess:Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skillsExcellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitudeAbility to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policiesBasic Minimum Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent.Valid Driver’s LicenseExperience in HVAC, plumbing, and/or electrical preferredSolid organizational skills.Good customer service.Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorshipAdditional InformationPosition is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime required as needed.
