The Director, Project Management drives continuous improvement initiatives in processes and procedures used by the project management group. This position will involve extensive mentoring and professional development of staff and is a Senior Leadership Role within the organization.Key AccountabilitiesResponsible for all assigning and monitoring work progress/completion across the assigned scopePerformance management, including appraising performance and guiding professional development, rewarding and disciplining employees as applicableAssess talent within project management and drive consistent, high quality project management servicesManage assigned staff and day-to-day activities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable regulationsDevelop training programs to enhance organizational knowledge and performance across the scopeEnsure that staff understand and adhere to Good Clinical PracticesProvide direction to Project Services team comprised of line management (Managers, Project Management) and individual contributorsWhen required to meet project milestones/deliverable, develop, maintain, and communicate scope-wide project priority ranking to each Operations area (Kit Packing, Sample Management, Laboratory,Specialty Testing Partners, and Data Management)Develop and encourage industry leading customer service by developing and implementing processes to ensure rapid identification of risks/issues and successful resolution with internal and external stakeholdersDevelop and implement standard expectations and performance metrics for communication and responsiveness to customersEnsures all project and study activity is delivered on time and on specification, overseeing corrective action when applicableIdentify opportunities for service enhancement and developmentResponsible for pricing services and defining standards behind service offerings within the project services scopeDevelop and implement standards of operation within the project services scope by liaising with relevant areas to streamline communication and action within the businessCollaborate with internal teams (Ops, IT, Finance, PSM, DM, Set-up, etc) to facilitate the implementation of new systems, study management tools and/or processes, as applicableAct as project management process owner for all applicable areas including but not limited to recruitment, staffing, SOPs, and process improvementsPlay an active role in the enhancement of Project Management systems and processes to ensure global development and alignmentResponsible for budget planning, monitoring and control for employees and/or departmentActively participate or lead external customer meetings to promote company and support existing and future businessWork closely with internal departments, external vendors and the sponsor to promote departmental initiatives and/or client needsFoster a unified culture and facilitate collaboration, co-operation, sharing of information and teamworkKeep abreast of new technical developments and initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase quality of services and operational efficiencyManage overall client relationship and achieve all budget, revenue, gross bookings and margin targetsSupport the sales/ business development process for the accountsQualificationsBasic Minimum requirements: Bachelors of Science in Life Sciences or related field requiredStrong understanding of Central Laboratory practices, including some direct experience.5 years of clinical research industry experience2 years project management experience, including line management experienceAuthorization to work in the US for any employer, indefinitely, without sponsorship.The Ideal Candidate would possess: 10 Year of Clinical research industry experience5 Years Project Management Experience, including line management experienceExperience managing cross functional global teamsMBAPMP Certification or equivalentStrong Customer focusAbility and willingness to make key businesses decisions in a dynamic environmentStrong people management skills with the ability to develop and lead cross functional teamsStrong interpersonal skillsStrategic thinker and demonstrated analytical abilityDemonstrated ability to improve complex operationsAbility to prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demandsDemonstrated ability to meet deadlinesExperience utilizing Microsoft Office SuiteHigh ethical standardsAdditional InformationExcellent full time benefits including comprehensive medical coverage, dental, and vision optionsLife and disability insurance401(k) with company matchPaid vacation and holidaysEurofins Central Labs, LLC are committed to promoting an equal employment opportunity workplace environment and is an equal opportunity employer.
