JOB OVERVIEW

The Level 1 Security Supervisor is responsible for supervising the security level 1 process and ensures all agents are properly completing their duty.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:

• Supervise security level 1 process and ensure all agents are instructed on proper assignments.
• Ensure that all ISAs(International Security Agents) comply with the search method and procedures established by the ISP.
• During their shift conduct random audits of the aircraft security searches.
• Be knowledgeable of American Airlines, TSA, and CBP regulations and ensure compliance.
• Ensure all ISAs follow the standard of conduct.
• Promptly and efficiently respond to an IROP and manage it to the best of their knowledge.
• Maintain communication with the planners to ensure the success of the operation.
• Be always reachable and maintain communication with clients and parties involved.
• Report any incident, accident, and/or discrepancies to the MOD immediately.
• Ensure all positions are covered as established by the ISP.
• Monitor all ISA attendance and punctuality to work.
• Monitor all ISA punctuality to their work assignments.
• Run flight reports.
• Ensure that all paperwork is filled and turned in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure that all ISAs complete the POI anytime a vehicle is used and send them to the GSE controller daily.
• Ensure all ISAs are complying with all safety regulations.
• Send email reports daily and maintain email communication promptly.
• Observe, monitor, and audit Planner’s job.
• Ensure all aircraft security services are being provided most efficiently to all level 1 flights.
• Ensure all ISA reports to their flight assignment at least 15 minutes before the flight arrival, with limited exceptions by never after the flight arrival.
• Any other function as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, LICENSE, and/or CERTIFICATION

• Must possess at least a High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License for the AOA.

EXPERIENCE and/or KNOWLEDGE

• Minimum 2 years or more Airport or related proven experience preferred
• Proven leadership qualities and/or experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with Word and Excel

SKILL and/or ABILITIES

• Ability to speak and understand Spanish / English
• Demonstrated ability to handle stress in a dynamic environment
• Excellent writing and communication skills including interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution abilities
• Strong self-organization and self-management skills, with an emphasis on self-initiation and follow through
• Requires flexibility to work additional hours beyond the regular shift, on short notice
• Must be able to obtain a SIDA Badge from the airport
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
