Eudora High School seeks candidates to fulfill the Reading/ELA Interventionist role for the 2024-2025 school year. The Reading/ELA Interventionist serves students with individualized instruction and academic support for reading comprehension and fluency. They also coach students at an instructional level. The Reading/ELA Interventionist will support, supplement, and extend classroom teaching to improve student performance related to reading. This will include being the building expert connected to the screener and progress monitoring application "FastBridge." The Reading/ELA Interventionist will also teach sections of grade-level ELA.
The Reading/ELA Interventionist will also work closely with students to help them achieve reading skills that match their current grade level. Additionally, the Reading/ELA Interventionist strives to increase students' reading capabilities through literacy materials, reading programs, a wide variety of resources, and collaboration with parents and other teachers.
Reading/ELA Interventionists share responsibility with teachers for assessing students’ reading abilities, identifying deficiencies, and creating reading intervention plans and strategies for students selected for additional reading instruction.
If you are passionate about coaching students to achieve their full potential, we would love to have you in the Cardinal family!
