Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical office procedures, insurance verification, and medical coding. As an Insurance Verification Specialist, you will be responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage and ensuring accurate billing and reimbursement processes. Duties: - Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility through various methods, including online portals and phone calls - Review and interpret insurance policies to determine coverage limitations and requirements - Obtain necessary authorizations or pre-certifications for medical procedures or treatments - Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to resolve any issues or discrepancies in coverage - Accurately enter insurance information into electronic health records (EHR) systems - Assist with coding procedures using ICD-9 or ICD-10 codes - Collaborate with the billing department to ensure timely and accurate submission of claims - Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations - Keep up-to-date with changes in insurance policies, coding guidelines, and medical terminology Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical coding is preferred - Proven experience as an Insurance Verification Specialist or similar role in a medical office setting - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10), and insurance procedures - Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and insurance verification software - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Note: All positions at our company are paid positions.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
