Etta is seeking a Supported Living Services Residential Coordinator to assist with daily living supports and program organization for a gentleman receiving Supported Living Services in the Culver City area.

Location:Culver City

Schedule:5 days weekly including 1 weekend day 8am-4pm with schedule flexibility for additional hours if needed.

Rate of Pay:$25/hr

Job Description:

As a Residential Coordinator, you will support the needs of one gentleman in his home and surrounding community, providing personalized, professional care. Under the direction of the Program Manager you will assist with all aspects of program organization and act as a direct link between management and daily support/program needs.

The person supported values personal connection and conversation about the news and world events. He loves dining out and watching comedies and documentaries. He doesn't paint but enjoys going to museums and prefers the Impressionist style. He loves animals (but doesn't own any) and you should too! Jewish community engagement is also an important part of the weekly planning. He is interested in participating in Jewish activities and social events in the community. The person supported uses a wheelchair which does collapse to fit in a vehicle.

The ideal candidate will have a great sense of humor, be physically active, and enjoy neutral conversations about current events. They will possess strong organizational skills, and be dependable, consistent, detail oriented.

The Residential Coordinator will assist him in attending multiple medical appointments and managing medications. They will assist with basic care needs, including transfers in and out of his chair, hygiene assistance, cooking, cleaning, and companionship. They will maintain daily records in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy and procedures. Most importantly, you will care for, motivate, and inspire!

Education / Experience

• High School diploma or GED.
• Must have at least one year experience supporting persons with disabilities.
• At least two years of experience as a support staff.
• Previously demonstrated leadership preferred.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age
• Ability to pass a background and drug test (DOJ / FBI / DMV)
• A valid driver's license, and proof of vehicle insurance coverage
• Willingness to transport using personal vehicle (with mileage reimbursement)
• Proficient in basic safety and emergency techniques (CPR / First Aid Certified)
• Strong organizational skills
• Detail oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to use a computer and online platforms for program operation
• Ability to lift/transfer up to 50lbs.
• Knowledge of Jewish traditions and culture helpful (not required)
