About the Job: As a Veterinary Assistant in Urgent Care you will be responsible for:
- Triaging patients
- Obtaining and reporting vitals, prioritizing patient treatments and delegating tasks if needed
- Recognize changes in patient status and report to doctor
- Utilizing different imaging modalities (radiographs,ultrasound)
- Administer and monitor patients for anesthetic/sedation procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent required; candidates from vocational co-op programs also considered
- Knowledge and practical application of basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required
- 2 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital setting required. Recent graduates with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology will be considered or students in the field.
