Job Description

Join our 8-doctor team and practice innovative medicine at an AAHA-accredited hospital! We invest in the growth of our employees and have had three technicians return to the team as veterinarians after graduating from school! We have the extensive equipment, diverse caseload, and mentorship to let you flourish in your career!

About Us:

  • 7 exam rooms
  • Separate urgent care area
  • Great tech and support staff retention - some team members have been here for 23 years!
  • Diverse clinical offerings; wellness exams & vaccines, general, surgeries, orthopedic surgeries (mobile veterinary surgeons), internal medicine, ultrasound, endoscopy consultation (mobile veterinary consultants), and wellness bloodwork panels
  • Some of our veterinarians’ clinical interests include:
    • Soft tissue surgery
    • Minimally invasive surgery
    • Urgent care
    • Emergency medicine
    • Internal medicine
    • Ophthalmology
    • Oncology
    • Pain management
    • Preventative medicine

    Equipment/Services Available:

    • Ultrasonography
    • Digital Radiology
    • Dentistry Suite with two digital dental radiograph machines
    • Laboratory Diagnostic Referrals
    • Full range of IDEXX lab equipment, including Sedivue DX, UA Analyzer, Catalyst DX, ProCyte DX
    • 6 dedicated examination rooms with computer terminals in every room plus a consultation room
    • Full on-site pharmacy/online pharmacy
    • Zipwhip texting capability
    • Surgery Suite
    • Dedicated anesthetist for every patient
    • Chemotherapy administration (biological hood)
    • Surgical and therapeutic laser
    • Acupuncture

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Builds rapport with clients by gathering information and listening to, and empathizing with their concerns
    • Performs physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort
    • Communicates with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, preventive health care, and nutritional needs
    • Maintains client/patient medical/surgical records and makes certain all necessary logs are kept up to date through established protocols
    • Stays current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine
    • Assists in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service.
    • Positively represents the hospital in the professional community

    Skills and Basic Qualifications:

    • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university
    • Licensure in good standing
    • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
    • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Works collaboratively with hospital team members
    • Makes decisions confidently and effectively
    • Manages time and tasks appropriately
    • Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients
    • Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth
