Qualifications:
Must be patient and tolerant of dogs in general, barking, dog
waste and dog hair.
Experience working with dogs preferred but not required.
Have a general knowledge of dog breeds and not be fearful of any breed.
Ability to multi-task and remain calm in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
Able to remember multiple dog names and their individual personalities.
Able (and willing) to stand for long periods of time and be physically active throughout the shift
(Bending, crouching, walking, lifting, etc); this is a physically demanding job.
Ability to lift 50 lbs with no restrictions.
Scheduling Requirements:
Daily hours (Monday through Friday)
Shift is 9am and 6pm
Responsibilities:
Maintaining and facilitate safe and fun play for large groups of dogs in an off-leash play
setting
Proactively stop rough or inappropriate interactions between dogs of all sizes and
weights.
Clean up of dog urine, feces and vomit as needed
Vacuum, mop, wash dog dishes; overall cleaning and maintenance of the daycare.
Communicate dogs' behavior and/or health issues to a manager.
