Examples of Duties Performed:

• Responsible for the overall business and accounting activities of a long-term care nursing center in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and center guidelines.
• Maintains accurate patient census information; interprets and analyzes financial data and identifies trends; assists with financial plan preparation.
• Communicates with patients, responsible parties, insurance companies, and government agencies regarding the collection of outstanding receivables.
• Oversees and directs center’s accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fund accounts activities for compliance.

Preferred Requirements:

• Have Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent degree preferred.
• Have At least two years experience in a business office and demonstrated knowledge of computers, office machines, and various business software applications.
• Experience with Medicaid, Medicare and insurance billing and verification.
• Have knowledge and compliance with the procedural guidelines for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Patient Trust Fund.

• Possess ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Be capable of maintaining effective working relationships with patients, family members, staff and fellow department heads.
