ETHERIDGE CONSTRUCTION is Hiring a General Construction Laborer Near Suffolk, VA

About ETHERIDGE CONSTRUCTION:
Etheridge Construction is a local family-owned new home construction company. We are seeking a part time construction site laborer to work at multiple Suffolk, VA developments. This is a summer job opportunity only, with employment from mid-May to no later than September 1. Job responsibilities are listed below.

Candidates must be willing to work outdoors in a variety of challenging weather conditions. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to problem solve and accurately follow instructions. Candidates are expected to work independently and maintain a steady pace. Candidates are expected to demonstrate a strong work ethic and drive. Transportation between job sites will be provided as needed, but candidate must provide their own transportation to and from work.

Job Responsibilities:

Hours: 730AM-330PM Tuesday-Friday

15 minute paid morning break

45 minute paid lunch break
Home site cleanup

General construction site cleanup

Assist superintendent with construction-related tasks as-needed

Cut grass

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent

Conversational English

Driver's license with clean record (no DUI/OUI)

Reliable transportation

Must be able to lift up to 75 lb. repeatedly

Must be able to work a normal 8 hour shift of physical labor with appropriate breaks.'
