Job Title : Employee Relations Administrator(contract)
Department : Administration
Reports To : EmployeeRelations Manager
Summary :
This position is responsible forperforming the administration of Employee Relations relatedfunctions including the processing of payroll and managing theHuman Resource Information System as well as completing generaloffice administration duties.
All functions must be performed inaccordance with established company policies and procedures and ishighly confidential in nature.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : include thefollowing :
1. Employee RelationsAdministration :
Supports HR Manager with therecruiting process; including preparation of job postings screeningresumes
and conducting initial phone screenscoordination and facilitation of interview and bookings preparingof
job offers and scheduling of medicalappointments
Administers aptitude andpersonality test to applicants
Keepsaccurate record of insurance coverage pension plan and personneltransactions such as hires
promotionstransfers performance reviews salary changes and terminations in HRsystem
Assists with completion of Form 7 forwork accidents and prepares reports and payments forinsurance
carriers as required
Prepares monthly HR reports for entry
Maintains tracking of company benefits including safetyshoes and safety glasses
Assists with the administration of the company benefitprogram whereby books employee meetings form
completion and maintaining the forms for employee use
Prepares performance review schedule and status formfor management monthly
Completes the payrollprocessing and enters all exceptions and personnel changes intoUKG
Maintains all employee changes in theGroup Benefit system
Assists with employeeleaves and return to work management
Assistswith coordination of Service Recognition Program and AttendanceProgram
Assists with the administration ofthe Summer Hire program
Reviews the SMIprogram monthly for completion
Assists thepublication of the quarterly newsletter The NorthernVendor
Maintains the employee communicationboard
Responsible for circulation of fileaudit as well as performing the ER / Administrationportion
Prepares memos correspondencereports and other documents as required
Coordinate with Micro Market and coffee vendor to ensure lunchroomis stocked with supplies and fruits
Coordinate meetings including ordering lunches and ensuring thereis a sufficient supply of drinks and
snacks
ER filing
Other duties as assigned.
2.Administration :
Maintains and updates lobbywelcome board as required
Review and updatephone directory as needed
Assists departmentin meeting method improvement objective
Reconcile weekly and monthly invoices as well as mail out weeklycheques received from Accounts
Payable
Perform other duties asassigned
Qualifications :
Knowledge of Employment Standards Act and Payrollprocesses
Strong communication skills bothwritten and oral
Strong time managementskills
Must be able to identify and resolveproblems using sound judgement
Resultsoriented
Strong organizational abilitieswith focus on attention to detail and quality of work
Intermediate to advance knowledge in MSOffice
Previous experience with UKG or ADPpayroll an asset
Excellent interpersonalskills
Demonstrates ability to work wellwith others in a collaborative team environment
Take initiative and work with minimalsupervision
Education and / orExperience :
Post Secondary Educationpreferably in Human Resources or Administration
A minimum of two to three years experience in HumanResources in a similar role
CHRP designationan asset
