Ethan Allen, a leader in the interior design and home furnishings industry, is seeking a Stock room/Maintenance Associate for our location at:

The position is 40 hours a week. Medical, dental and 401K benefits available.

Position Summary :

Maintain the overall organization of the stockroom, general housekeeping for the design center, assist the visual merchandiser with store display duties and perform hot shot deliveries in a company van.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining design center display.
• Assist in bringing merchandise to the floor as needed.
• Assist in the implementation of display changes including basic repairs, changing light bulbs, painting, hanging/moving of chandeliers
• Drive company van for local deliveries, installations, pick ups etc.
• Inspect products for quality and report any issues to management.
• Maintain the customer “pick-up" area and assist with customer purchases.
• Properly document the movement of inventory in and out of the design center through the use of a computer barcode system.
• Prepare design center floor sales for transfer to service center in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist with design center inventory and cycle counts.
• Receive and transfer physical product as needed.
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed.
• Maintain store exterior including power washing, picking up of trash, etc.
• Any other duties as assigned

Requirements

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• High school diploma with a minimum of one year of experience in handling of goods in a warehouse/service center environment.
• Good listening, verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to read, do simple math and follow oral and written instructions.
• Computer skills a plus
• Clean driving record -- must be insurable to drive company delivery van
• Professional experience
• Lift and move heavy furniture
• General handy man skills a plus
