The Housekeeping Supervisor will assist the Housekeeping Manager and Director of Housekeeping in maintaining hotel facilities in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition. The Housekeeping Supervisor will inspect the guestrooms on a daily basis to ensure they are ready for occupancy. They will prioritize the wellbeing and comfort of our guests and employees.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Manage and provide support for the Room Attendants, Turndown Attendants, Public Area attendants and House attendants
• Resolve guest concerns in the absence of the Director of Housekeeping and Housekeeping Manager
• Inspect all guest rooms as assigned and coach room attendants of any deficiencies found in the room
• Assign room attendants’ carts/signs board in the morning and the afternoon
• Inspect public areas, housekeeping closets for standards compliance
• Coach housemen and public area attendant on any discrepancies in their areas
• Work closely with the Front Office regarding room stock and availability via phone or in person
• Submit maintenance reports/requests to Royal Service and follow up for completion
• Assist in management coverage for Director and Manager in their absences
• Check appearance of all employees to ensure compliance with Fairmont standards of appearance
• Provide training and guidance on Fairmont Standards of Service
• Contribute to a fun, positive work environment for the Housekeeping Team
• Builds strong rapport with support departments
• Stays fully knowledgeable and follows stipulations of the hotel union contract
• Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
• Other duties as assigned

Your Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year experience in a Housekeeping role
• Experience in a Housekeeping leadership capacity an asset
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
• Proven ability to guide and coach team members
• An operational knowledge of MICROS OPERA and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Leadership, written/verbal communication, coaching and interpersonal skills
• Strong guest service orientation
• Able to balance a variety of conflicting priorities while providing guest service

Visa Requirements: Must have proof of valid U.S. work authorization.
