Site Reliability Engineering Coach - Need Locals

Job Summary: As a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Coach, you will be responsible for guiding and coaching teams in implementing best practices related to reliability, scalability, and performance of software systems and services. You will work closely with development, operations, and other cross-functional teams to drive a culture of reliability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coaching and Training: Coach development and operations teams on SRE principles, best practices, and tools to improve system reliability and performance.
• Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor system performance metrics, conduct root cause analysis of incidents, and implement strategies to prevent future issues.
• Automation and Tooling: Collaborate with teams to automate tasks, build monitoring tools, and streamline processes to enhance system reliability and scalability.
• Incident Management: Develop and improve incident response processes, participate in incident reviews, and identify areas for improvement.
• Capacity Planning: Work with teams to forecast capacity requirements, plan for scalability, and optimize resource utilization.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain documentation related to system architecture, best practices, and procedures. Promote knowledge sharing across teams.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for continuous improvement, innovation, and adoption of new technologies and practices to enhance system reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Shell, or similar.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with a focus on teamwork and knowledge sharing.
• Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer are a plus.
