Estrella Media is Hiring a Content Operations Video Specialist Near Burbank, CA
The Content Operations Video Specialist at Estrella media executes the delivery of video programming and content assets to our OTT/CTV, VOD, mobile, desktop and social media platforms. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Content Operations, Digital & Streaming Media, the Content Operations Video Specialist is responsible for the media processing workflow, editing and distribution of high-quality video and digital content. To fulfill operational objectives, the appropriate candidate must effectively collaborate with numerous internal stakeholders and some external vendors. The candidate requires experience with post-production, video and digital content media processing and must have video editing, basic video graphic effects and Spanish-language proficiency. Responsibilities
Own video and content workflow from editing to final output and uploading to CMS or other distribution
Quickly assemble video edits and implement notes from multiple sources
Work on a variety of video projects delivering high-end work under demanding deadlines
Adhere to compliance standards set by industry standards and best practices
Fulfill video metadata specification requirements adhering to guidelines, character limits, and asset formatting parameters set forth by key metadata aggregation service providers such as Gracenote or distribution partners
Experience with content metadata management and API data delivery specifications and workflows
Execute onboarding, receiving and processing content for Estrella Media Original Productions, Licensed content and first party hosted ad related content to a variety of endpoints
Fulfillment of media requests from various internal parties (i.e Marketing, PR or Ad Sales)
Required Skills
Basic knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS)
Knowledge of or experience with:
Web development protocols and processes
Video streaming protocols, technologies and infrastructures (especially FAST distribution with SCTE and EPG Meta-data requirements)
Digital media formats, standards and codecs
Industry standard formats and distribution standards for digital media (i.e. ProRes HQ, H264/5, IMF, HTML5, MP4, AAF, GXF, QT DV, QT XDCAM, etc.) as well as encoding standards relating to sampling rates, frame rates, key frames and aspect ratios
File transcoding engines and services such as Harmonic, AWS Elemental etc.
Web-based file transfer tools and delivery systems: Aspera, SFTP, FTP and Signiant

Technical Media Workflow Development
Digital closed caption & subtitle file formats such as SMPTE-TT and WebVTT with 608 & 708 compliance
File based encoding and broadcast technologies
Video and audio formats and requirements for post-production processes and mastering workflows
Metadata and XML formats such as xls, xml, rss, and mrss, and their development
Editing tools such as Final Cut Pro, Avid & Adobe Premier
Media storage protocols, both cloud and data center-based infrastructures
Packaging of digital assets for direct delivery distribution
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor or BS degree preferred
Spanish-language proficiency
1 years of experience in digital media, television, film or post-production industries
Passion for video and digital entertainment
Proven project management skills with the ability to provide timeline and delivery dates
Strong demonstrated experience working on both Mac and PC platforms
Knowledge of administrative software applications: MS Office Applications, (i.e., MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
