Production and Facilities Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: The Production and Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production within our dietary supplement manufacturing facility. The role includes ensuring that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently and that products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Planning and Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing processes, increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality standards. Provide leadership and guidance to a diverse team of managers, supervisors, and frontline workers. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Production Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring production schedules are met, and all resources are utilized effectively. Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure a smooth flow of raw materials and finished products in and out of the plant.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure appliable GMP and FDA compliance regulations are implemented and maintained. This includes overseeing SOPs are current and updated as needed.

Quality Assurance: Manage the QA/QC Team to implement quality control measures ensuring products meet regulatory standards and customer expectations. This includes directly and indirectly maintaining quality management systems.

Facilities Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization's facilities, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment. Manage relationships with vendors and contractors for facility-related services. Monitor and optimize energy usage, waste management, and other sustainable practices.

Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets for the manufacturing plant, monitoring expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety.

Continuous Improvement: Implement lean manufacturing principles and other continuous improvement methodologies to streamline processes and drive operational excellence.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure plant performance and regularly report on progress to senior management.

Supervisory Responsibilities The person in this position directly supervises the Production Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician, and the Logistics/Warehouse Technician as well as indirect supervision of all Production Operators.

Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree in science, regulatory, or a related field. Minimum five years of Quality/Regulatory and/or quality experience in an FDA regulated industry required. Proven experience in facilities management. Strong knowledge of GMP and FDA regulations. Bilingual fluency in Korean/English is strongly preferred.
