Responsibilities

SUMMARYA brief summary of the purpose this position must fulfill.As a Customer Representative, TLB, you will work as part of a team to manage Truckload Brokeragebusiness within EFW Truckload, a division of Estes Forwarding Worldwide. The individual will beresponsible for all aspects of sales and operation with the EFW Truckload Brokerage division which willfocus primarily on continuously prospecting and closing new business, as well as customer service andshipment management. One will ensure proper execution of standard operating procedures, keyperformance indicators, and other account metrics on a daily basis.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must satisfactorily perform each essential duty.Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform theessential duties. Continuously prospecting Truckload sales opportunities, while closing new business and growingexisting relationships through an unmatched level of service. Regularly call prospective customers to generate new business. Implement strategies to maintain and/or expand profitability and promote EFW logisticsservices, specifically for EFW Truckload Brokerage. Expedite the resolution of customer concerns and exceptions to ensure customer and accountsatisfaction. Interface with both internal and external customers to understand the customer's overallobjectives and requirements. Responsible for developing, managing, and fostering relationships with customers and accountsto ensure retention and create organic growth. Share details with customers on additional offerings to provide value added service. Collaboratewith the appropriate Enterprise parties to ensure the customer’s logistics and supply chainneeds are taken care of. Responsible for a book of Truckload Brokerage business to support operational and financialobjectives of the regional operating center. Provide information to support claims mediation between carrier, customer, and EFW ClaimsDepartment. Through a network of internal and external transportation suppliers, determine the mostefficient, cost-effective service provider for the requested EFW Truckload Brokerage service. Thoroughly document all information for every shipment including special customer requests,the assignment of special authorization numbers, ship tracing information and OS&Dinformation. Maintain document flow of carriers and appropriate TSA and DOT documentsincluding documents for the movement of Dangerous Goods. Evaluate multiple options regarding logistics services. Promote world-class customer care.Meet and exceed predetermined account goals and objectives. Expands market share by driving an active opportunity pipeline and qualification process inCRM. Maintain good communication and positive relationships within the Truckload team as well aswith internal and external customers. Support and promote company core values. On-call schedule required as requested. Regular attendance is required. Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree preferred or a minimum of an Associate degree (or equivalent) and 0-3 years ofexperience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, sales or other transportation business oractivity with a clear understanding of multiple modes and services within thetransportation/logistics industry. However, a combination of experience and/or education will betaken into consideration.
