Essential Functions

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Typical workdays are a ‘4x10’ schedule, 10 hours per day Monday-Thursday. Employees are expected to work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional overtime may be required during busy periods.

Essential Functions
- Ensure the safety of employees and the manufacturing plant by maintaining and improving safety programs
- Seek ways to continually improve the safety of the operation, processes, and equipment
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Monitor and assess regulatory developments, including changes to federal acquisition regulations (FAR), defense federal acquisition regulation supplement (DFARS), and other relevant laws and regulations
- Maintain, write, and implement policies and procedures
- Serve as the primary contact for relevant authorities
- Develop and implement an ISO 9001 and AS 9100 quality program
- Minimum five years of experience in related roles
- Prior experience with management of an ISO 9001 or AS 9100 quality program
- Detail- and process-oriented
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to learn and retain technical concepts
- Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software
- Experience with explosives (strongly desired)
- Certification as a safety professional, such as CSP, GSP, CIH, or similar
- Experience with hazardous materials
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical or related field
Physical Demands
- Sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer
- Use of mouse/computer keyboard
- May have to lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequent movement through a manufacturing environment
- Use of personal protective equipment appropriate to the work location
