Description

Noble House Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Director of Revenue Management. This position will work within our Southern California Revenue Management Team, which provides support for our San Diego area properties; San Diego Mission Bay Resort, L’ Auberge Del Mar, and Estancia La Jolla Hotel and Spa. This position will be based at and provide support to our Estancia La Jolla property.

The JOB

The Director of Revenue Management is responsible for driving revenue and profits for the assigned hotel ~ Estancia La Jolla. This position will report to the Area Revenue Management Team and work closely to the leadership team at Estancia La Jolla to maximize total revenues and profits associated with guest rooms, analyze and forecast demand, determine overall strategies, monitor all distribution channels to ensure effective selling through inventory management, market mix and pricing. Communicates demand patterns to revenue team and lead the forecasting & budgeting efforts. The Director of Revenue Management will also produce reports as required, create & implement best practices, participate in leadership responsibilities at Estancia La Jolla as determined by the General Manager.

Requirements

In order to be successful in the role of Director of Revenue Management, you will be required to perform the following essential job functions:

  • Update and manage selling strategies and product information in all available distribution channels and reservation sources (onsite, third-party reservation providers, call centers, websites, GDS, etc.). 
  • Optimize Total RevPAR by analyzing and forecasting demand and establishing effective selling strategies, oversell strategies, and optimal market mix. Establish pricing recommendations for food and beverage outlets, marinas, banquets and club membership pricing.
  • Conduct ongoing competitor price and product analyses to ensure proper rate/price positioning and product offering relative to competition. Actively participate in all pricing decisions.
  • Collaborate with Director of Sales for management and strategy for reservations sales.
  • Interview, hire, train, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication and recommend discipline and/or termination when appropriate.
  • Facilitate Daily and Weekly Sales and Revenue Strategy meetings.
  • Actively participate in business planning for revenue generating departments.
  • Contribute to the financial success of the hotel via participation in annual budgeting and sales and marketing plan process.
  • Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly revenue management reports and present results from all segments.
  • Maintain historical statistical data from all distribution channels, in all market segments
  • Continually monitor all pertinent travel related websites to ensure competitiveness in both availability and price.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

We are seeking individuals with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Administration, Business, Statistics, Marketing, Finance or a relevant field of work preferred.
  • Two years revenue management experience required.
  • In-depth understanding of tools- spreadsheets, statistical methods for analyzing data.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to identify relevant data and use it to draw inferences with reference to impact on hotel’s revenues.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, preparation of business plans, repairs, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hospitality law, and long-range planning.
  • Ability to use PMS, reservation and revenue management systems to forecast and implement optimal strategies. 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
