Experienced Construction Project Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:
• Responsible for all assigned activities and phases of a commercial/industrial/government construction project from conceptual development to the final completion.
• Administrating, organizing, planning, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring of project processes.
• On large projects, certain project management responsibilities may be delegated to the PE in accordance with one’s level of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics.
• Keeps the voice of the customer at the forefront at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• BS Degree in construction management, civil, mechanical or electrical engineering preferred/minimum of associates degree in a technical field, engineering, industrial management or equivalent relevant experience and professional training.
• Proven working experience in industrial equipment installation project engineering, including civil work, preferably 5-10 years minimum. Government construction (MILCON) project experience a plus.
• Proven mechanical, electrical and civil engineering skills• Strong working knowledge of building and construction materials, methods, systems, documentation and terminology.
• Understanding of basic accounting and cost estimating practices
• Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
• Excellent time management, organizational, and planning skills
• Excellent communication skills; including verbal and written
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.) required.
• CAD drafting skills
• Working knowledge of Project Management Software (MS Project, Primavera,
Viewpoint etic)
• Fluent in English language; spoken and written
• Ability to travel as needed (<50%)
• Driver’s license and excellent driving record required.
• Ability to pass stringent background screening to obtain and retain; US Passport,
Military Base Access, TWIC and other necessary entry badges
• Ability to routinely lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outside under various environmental conditions. Agility and ability to work under physical conditions that may be rigorous and demanding.
