Essner is seeking a Heat Treat Operator to build Heat Treat loads, run Heat Treat equipment, and process the necessary paperwork associated with the job. The ideal team member will have proven experience as a Heat Treat operator with NADCAP experience.

Heat Treat Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

  • The operator will clean and prepare parts for processing.
  • Build Heat Treat loads in accordance to documented procedures for the area.
  • Read and understand part blueprints.
  • Understands Heat Treat, Solution, and Aging furnace recipes.
  • The operator shall thermally process manufactured aircraft parts utilizing calibrated ovens and furnaces to specification requirements.
  • The operator shall be responsible for additions and concentration determination of the quench solution as required, ensuring calibration criteria is complied with prior to processing, as well as the collection of solution samples for chemical analysis.
  • The operator shall prepare test coupons for the furnace properties testing, and perform System Accuracy Test (SAT’s) with Essner Quality support.
  • The operator is responsible for performing applicable solution verification of pH tests, and interprets the document results for the quench solution.
  • The operator must document the actual processing parameters used in relation to Thermal Processing.
  • The operator must complete sufficient organized training to become proficient with the principles and practices of the applicable processing methods and techniques of Heat Treating of Aluminum Alloys utilized at Essner and shall be certified per WI-7.5.1-11, “Heat Treat Training”

Qualifications


Basic Qualification:

  • Requires High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of experiencing working a Manufacturing Environment, Aerospace is a plus
  • Formal documented training in Heat Treatment or Metallurgy Training for Aluminum Heat Treatment
  • Three (3) years of Heat Treat experience
  • Experience working in a NADCAP certified environment
  • Experience using Epicor ERP system
