Essex Westford School District (EWSD) has an anticipated opportunity for a Student Management Specialist to join the team at Summit Street School beginning in the 24/25 school year. This role supports teachers in addressing the needs of students who lack effective communication, problem-solving, and social and emotional skills.

Individuals with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:

• Bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Counseling, mental health, special education, or education preferred.
• Experience providing behavior services (e.g., functional assessments, development and implementation of behavior plans, etc).
• A strong background in behavior management is required.
• Able to effectively use strategies and implement practices found in these programs is required.
• Certified CPI and/or FBA trainer, or ability to become certified within two years.
• Knowledge and/or experience with elementary and middle school students, practices, and pedagogy.
• Knowledge of best practices in behavior management, restorative practices, mindfulness, PBIS, and Responsive Classroom; ability to use and implement strategies and practices found in these programs.
