Position: Registered Nurse (RN) within Assisted Living

Schedule: We offer flexible staffing options in a Health Office that is open Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm and Saturdays from 8am-12pm. Must work at least 20 hours per week and participate in our on-call biweekly rotation. 

Pay: Up to $37.75 / hr, plus weekend shift differential

Essex Meadows isseeking a hospitality focused Registered Nurse to join our team! You will work alongside fellow caregivers to provide high-quality patient care.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her shift.
• Administers direct care as necessary.
• Administer prescribed medications to patients.
• Make rounds to ensure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
• Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in residents' condition.
• Assists in developing comprehensive care plans.
• Maintains accurate documentation of all care rendered.
• Responds to resident emergency call system.
• Encourages restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
• Assures proper functioning of equipment and adequate supplies.
• Shares on-call duties with designated staff. 

Qualifications:

• All nurses must be currently licensed in the state of CT. Must have current CPR certification.
• Previous experience in nursing, patient care, or other related fields, at least 6 months of nursing experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
• Ability to build rapport with patients.
• Compassionate and caring demeanor.
