Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and/or repairs on all manufacturing and facilities equipment and troubleshoot basic pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems.

As Maintenance Technician for Essentra you will:

• Install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment
• Provide emergency/ unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
• Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments
• Maintain proper records regarding machine maintenance
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties
• Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
• Responsible for maintaining compliance with ISO 9000 requirements
• Communicate any opportunities for improvements to management

Must haves:

• Capable of troubleshooting pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems
• Competence with performing basic machine shop operations
• Basic understanding of electrical circuits.
• Working knowledge of, and the ability to troubleshoot, PLCs
• Ability to read and comprehend basic, pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical schematics
• Must have injection molding equipment maintenance or similar background
