Job description
Payroll Specialist is a position that serves in the Payroll Department. The primary goal of the Payroll Specialist is to assist the staff in recording their daily schedules. Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist include but are not limited to: providing data relevant to accurate pay cycles, clocking in/out staff members and trouble-shooting various applications and software required for accurate recording of staff activity, working with the Accountant to ensure correct data for the pay cycles.
Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Ensuring employee rosters are updated and accurate.
B. Communicate with staff regarding missed clock in/out.
C. Review of the hours and mileage of clients and staff.
D. Create reports for payroll cycles that accurately reflect hours worked by staff.
E. Create reports for case managers that accurately reflect hours of services provided to clients, mileage used, and notes detailing accomplished tasks.
F. Uploading to the State of Oregon, hours and mileage used for the pay period on behalf of each client.
G. Assist staff in ensuring the necessary phone applications are being used properly.
H. Create new client entries and ensure all documents are valid.

A. Ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and safekeeping of agency and personnel records.
B. Having an attitude that reflects working as a team and commitment to excellence.
C. Acting in accordance with Essential Services LLC standards, procedures, and policies.
D. Maintaining respectful, cooperative working relationships to contribute to the integrated, seamless delivery of services to all in the care of Essential Services LLC and the community at large.
E. Understanding the job requirements and being able to fulfill them while maintaining a safe workplace environment.
A Payroll Specialist shall have the following minimum qualifications:
A. Being at least 21 years of age.
B. Successfully complete a DHS criminal background check.
C. Being legally eligible to work in the United States.
D. Ability to effectively communicate in written and spoken English.
E. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
F. Word per minute speed of 40.
G. Able to learn new software as needed.
H. Demonstrate by experience, education, references, skills, and abilities that they are capable of safely and adequately performing all tasks as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time on-site.
Pay scale: $4,000 per month.
