Essential Anesthesia Management is Hiring a Remote Anesthesia Practice Manager

Essential Anesthesia Management strives to create authentic partnerships with various medical and business professionals to deliver the highest quality anesthesia care to both patients and hospitals alike. EAM is a patient, and provider first organization that provides high-quality, customized healthcare solutions. EAM boasts highly experienced anesthesia providers that service mainly hospitals, but also outpatient surgery center locations. Our company has experienced, and will continue to experience, rapid growth in the healthcare management industry. We are transitioning to internalizing clinical practice support functions to support this further growth.

General Description:

The Practice Manager (PM) is accountable to the SVP of Operations and holds the key responsibility of ensuring seamless and efficient operations at approximately 10-15 sites and provider locations. Collaborating closely with the SVP and operations team, the PM offers support services including on-site support to Essential Anesthesia Management providers, serving as a connection between facility personnel and Essential Anesthesia Management support personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure sites are fully staffed and compliant with all regulations, policies, and procedures through regular phone, text, and email correspondence
  • Build and maintain strong relationships through both in person and virtual means with clinical providers
  • Serve as operational coordination between and among regional and operations leadership
  • Work with SVP to monitor quality metrics, processes. Assist in periodic provider and site performance reviews based on metrics, and participate in the implementation performance improvement plans where necessary
  • Monitor site progress through reports and dashboards for overall efficiency; suggest improvements to the SVP as needed
  • Provide support for regular meetings with site leadership and address ongoing issues; attend in person or remotely as needed
  • Serve as triage for and intermediary for 1099 provider and facility issues regarding invoicing and accounts payable departments; utilize escalation paths as needed
  • Provide input and monitor the progress of hiring and onboarding processes; educate clinicians and site leaders about the processes, procedures, culture, and core values of Essential Anesthesia
  • Collaborate with the credentialing and revenue departments to ensure compliance with provider enrollment requirements and billing procedures.
  • Troubleshoot issues and coordinate responses raised by providers, groups, or facility leaders
  • Support the coordination of operational start-up and on-boarding for new sites
  • Address operational performance factors that serve as barriers to achieving stated service line objectives
  • In collaboration with Hiring Managers, Operations Leadership, and Human Resources, assist with regional recruitment strategies

Core Competencies:

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with providers, customers, management, and partners
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills, while being able to work independently and in a team setting
  • Aptitude for building and maintaining relationships through active listening and understanding of customer and provider needs
  • Proficient in utilizing various computer software programs, particularly Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a related field, with a track record of success in management and leadership positions
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Health Management or a minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a health care setting
  • Proven verbal, quantitative, financial and interpersonal skills, with in-depth knowledge of medical practice administration and multi-practice management experience
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, customer service, and ability to interact with providers, customers, management, and partners
  • Keen attention to detail and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and thrive in a team environment
  • Ability to develop relationships by listening to the needs of our customers
  • Ability to travel 30-35% is required
