Will Call Warehouse Supervisor

Monday-Friday 7 AM - 4 PM EST

Major Responsibilities :

• Coordinates the daily activities of the Will Call operation to include preparation of orders and paperwork
• Plans and prioritizes Will Call orders to ensure optimal service to customers and schedules appointments for day truck deliveries.
• Ensures adherence to Will Call SOPs and prepares all necessary daily reporting / logs.
• Solves basic problems and challenges within the Will Call functional area to include communication of transportation challenges with drivers and any potential customer impacts with Customer Care.
• Champions and maintains a clean and safe environment.
• Interacts as the main point of contact for other department leaders and facilities to resolve operational issues.
• Identifies areas for process improvements, helps develop plans to meet established and future business needs, and implements changes.
• Works with Transportation to unload returns, empty pallets, and freight & loads returns and MADOT.
• Provides back up support to Department Managers as needed.
• Understands and demonstrates Essendant’s Values and Guiding Principles.

Skills / Knowledge Required :

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate ability to solve problems, achieve results and foster strong customer service orientation.

• Detail oriented.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Education and Experience :

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two or more years of job-related experience required.
