Janitor - EAFB.4 Summary Title:Janitor - EAFB.4ID:21651-21-JANTPoint of Hire:AnchorageDescription We are looking for a Janitor/General Helper to work at one of our remote locations in Alaska.

Summary Janitorial Services in common areas ond other areas as assigned by site manager.

Responsibilities

* Cleans rest rooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways.

* Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor.

* Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.

* Dusts furniture.

* Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.

* Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays, transports trash and waste to disposal area.

* Replenishes bathroom supplies.

* Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies.

* Examines rooms, halls, and lobbies to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment, and makes recommendations to maintenance.

* Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.

* Cleans out garbage cans.

* Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.

* Loads or unloads trucks picking up or delivering supplies.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Education and/or Experience Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
