The Facilities Technician III will assist the Facilities Manager with the upkeep, maintenance and operation of the physical facility and all facility equipment. The Scope of work will include technical support of plumbing, HVAC, fire suppression systems, Building control systems, emergency diesel generator, rotary screw compressors, fire doors, security doors, roof, storm drains, mobile material handling equipment, and all facility equipment with scheduling maintenance, and supporting project management in the execution of projects. Under the Facilities Manager, the Facilities Engineer will perform tasks related to the analysis of construction materials, development plans, specifications, and contract administration and inspections.
What You’ll Do At ESS.
  • Assist in the development and execution of a CMMS (Compute Maintenance Management System).
  • Manage contractors and SME’s for trade work.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on facilities equipment.
  • Manage waste streams and equipment.
  • Build jigs and fixtures.
  • Specify and purchase equipment and materials.
  • Plan and execute small and medium scale projects.
  • Maintain facilities in a presentable condition; ensure safety compliance for OSHA and DEQ are attained to ensure all facilities are safe for employees, suppliers, and customers.
  • Identify and execute on cost savings measures.
  • Attend GEMBA walks to identify safety and efficiency opportunities.
  • Assemble cubicles and office equipment.
  • Maintain roof and grounds.
  • Conduct parts research.
  • Respond quickly and appropriately to trouble calls, site-wide maintenance requests & questions.
  • Meet and consult with engineers, contractors, and others on difficult construction matters.
What you bring to the table.
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
  • Requires minimum of 8 years facilities support, with at least two years of journeyman-level technical trade experience.
  • The ability to read and interpret design schematics, layouts, P&ID, Plumbing, Piping, Mechanical, and Electrical detailed schematics, and specifications.
  • Experience with precision measurement equipment, depth gage, micrometer, caliper, multimeter.
  • Experience operating shop tools such as mill, lathe, grinder, router table, brake, bandsaw.
  • Experience fabricating steel, stainless, and aluminum, stick welding, TIG welding, MIG welding, sheet metal.
  • Experience with construction and using construction materials such as wood, steel and concrete.
  • Experience managing projects.
  • Experience implementing CMMS.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety in an industrial environment including PPE, HAZCOM, working at elevations, confined space entry, lockout tagout.

  • Technical Trade school for welding or machining and /or journeyman millwright license.
