JOB DESCRIPTION:
Digital Workspace Services is a globally diverse and distributed team. The DWS portfolio includes, but is not limited to Support, Virtual and Physical Computing, and Unified Communications.
The Digital Workspace Monitoring Engineer is responsible for delivering and supporting end-to-end monitoring solutions for the Digital Workplace computing and unified communications environments, including but not limited to, network, system performance, application (on-premises/SaaS) and services.
This position involves the deployment and support of tools the company uses to monitor various components, systems, and applications.
The Individual will work with senior members of the different teams to capture monitoring requirements from collaborators and deliver solutions applying the enterprise monitoring toolset.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Solid grasp of large-scale end user computing, applications, network architectures, monitoring, and fault management.
Solid Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Workstation, Networking and SaaS applications
Ensure that processes and tools evolve from a proactive to reactive monitoring capabilities, enabling Self-healing.
Coordinate between support and Engineering teams to ensure effective delivery of supervising services to the end-users
Minimizes client service interruptions through early identification and resolution of problems.
Trend analysis to ensure optimum performance for consumed services.
Ensures that change management and defined security procedures for all assigned systems are performed in accordance with client policies and procedures
Performs routine system assessments, develops reporting metrics, performs proactive and predictive analysis, documentation, testing, implementation, and ongoing support.
Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately
Passionate about supervising trends and new technologies to be adaptative to changing and new requirements.
Supporting service delivery goals for operational performance of the monitoring systems including
Deployment of new products and services
Management of false positives and negatives
Configuration, release, and change management
Implementation of core applications supporting supervising service support
QUALIFICATIONS:
An in-depth knowledge of various monitoring tools including SysTrack
Minimum of 6 years of related experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Citrix Technologies.
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Good understanding of hands-on support of hardware, software, and OS layer of a Microsoft Windows environment, both physical and virtual, in a large enterprise environment.
Professional certifications in technologies from companies like Microsoft, VMware, and Citrix such as MCP, MCSE, VCP, CCA or CCEA is a definite plus
Ability to learn new complex tools, methods, and processes quickly to become a subject matter expert
An in-depth understanding of relational databases, SQL query language, PowerShell, Microsoft SQL Server administration, and other related Microsoft Business Intelligence technologies (Reporting Services, Integration Services, Analysis Services)
Knowledge of end user computing and unified communication
A working knowledge of networking and VDI technologies is a plus
Solid project management and leadership skills
Self-starter, independent worker, and great teammate
