Job Description

We seek an experienced UX Designer to join our fast-paced, multi-project studio. You will play a pivotal role in creating an optimal and immersive user experience by designing intuitive interfaces, interactions, and gameplay elements that enhance player engagement and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Create wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualize and communicate design concepts, allowing for effective collaboration and feedback.
• Contribute to feature specifications by providing user flows, low and high-resolution wireframes, and feature requirements.
• Design and support the implementation of intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces and interactions that enhance player engagement and satisfaction, ensuring seamless navigation and accessibility.
• Collaborate on the design of gameplay elements, ensuring they align with user experience goals and contribute to an immersive and enjoyable player journey.
• Conduct user research usability testing, gather player feedback to inform design decisions, and iterate on user experiences for continuous improvement.
• Effectively communicate design concepts and rationales to technical and non-technical team members, fostering a shared understanding of the user experience vision.
• Other Game Development Duties as Assigned

Qualifications

• A portfolio that contains examples of work, highlighting workflow and final product. 
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles.
• Proven experience in UX design, preferably with an understanding of conventions common within the gaming industry.
• Strong preference for UX designers with UI art skills
• Utilizes a structured workflow to support collaboration and iteration. 
• Proficient in using design tools such as Miro or Figma for wireframing and prototyping.
• Experience working within an agile team; highly collaborative and open to candid feedback.
• Experience establishing and improving UX processes and ways of working with cross-discipline teams.

This is currently a full-time remote position. Must be able to relocate to either Seattle, WA, or Boca Raton, FL, in Q4 2024.
