Title : Regulatory Certification Specialist

Location : Arlington Heights, IL

Duration : Permanent Hire

Reports to : Engineering Director

Job Description :

Certification Specialist Food safety & Electrical safety of the products. This person serves as a central touch point for product compliance and certification.

Responsible for new product development and existing product certifications.

Essential duties and responsibilities :

  • Efficiently manages certification projects concurrently and ensures completion within time frames and cost deadlines.
  • Work closely with Engineering team on new product Agency requirement.
  • Implementation and controlling of Agency control system.
  • Monitor and analyze Agency performance and project status.
  • Able to consistently maintain very high productivity while managing multiple projects with on-time and on-budget.
  • Acts as a Notified Body representative or Reviewer to support Certification Decision or issuance of Approvals.
  • Keeps the Product Manager / Lead or Assistant Operations Manager informed of project status as required, pointing out major problems and noncompliance.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors to achieve the certification of products.
  • Work with external agency certification bogies to get the certification of products.
  • Audit the production line units, and make sure the products meet the internal Agency standards or any customer specific standards.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent amount of Agency Engineering or Agency Management experience required.

Education Qualifications

  • Associates (Required)
  • Bachelor (Preferred)

Knowledge & Skills That Enable Success :

  • 3 years of work experience in similar industry
  • Knowledge of UL, NSF & IEC standards; variety of test procedures
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Computer proficiency, MS-office tools
  • Strong problem-solving ability; detail-oriented
  • Strong organizational, time, and project management skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • High level of communication skills (verbal and written)
