Duration : 1-2 years plus

Construction Project Estimator.

Experience with construction and Estimating for Electric Distribution, Transmission, Substation related projects preferred.

Construction, Engineering or related degree preferred.

Prepare Work Breakdown Structured estimates / WBS.

Must have previous experience with Estimating software. Extra consideration will be given to those who have RS Means, InEight, Hard Dollar experience.

General Job Description : Provide project controls Estimating support to the manager of projects, project managers, contractors and other key team members.

Utilize independent estimates to challenge contractor proposals Identify project / program scope, schedule, and budget issues early and developing resolutions to ensure the successful execution of projects and programs.

Provide Phase 1, 2, and 3 level estimates Prepare estimates and cash flows in support of authorization presentations. Prepare standard WBS estimates and assumptions with confidence factors ranging from study to construction phases of the project.

Develop unit cost and parametric estimate range for standard scope of work.

Review the basis of an estimate during Project Estimate Challenge meetings.

Report project actuals against estimate at project completion

Work with the project managers to ensure that the estimates are properly challenged and reviewed.

Types of estimates include the following :

Transmission underground and overhead 69kV to 765kV.

Distribution underground and overhead 4kV to 34kV.

Substation upgrades and substation build out, including control house work, and civil underground work.
