Especially for Children in Coon Rapids seeks a dedicated Early Childhood teacher to join our teaching team. EFC has nine Twin Cities locations which are NAEYC Accredited and Four Star Parent Aware rated. EFC is locally owned and was founded in 1976. Teachers at Especially for Children make lasting connections with children, families and each other. Our educational philosophy is centered on The Creative Curriculum, a play-based learning curriculum that allows teachers and children to explore and pursue their unique interests.

We are offering a sign-on bonus for this full-time position at our Coon Rapids location. A $500 bonus will be offered to Assistant Teacher or Teacher qualified candidates. The bonus will be paid in two installments after 30 and 60 days of employment and does not apply to part-time candidates or to any other open positions at Especially for Children unless specified in the job posting.

Candidates who are not currently Teacher qualified, but would like to obtain Teacher qualification will be eligible to participate in the CDA (Child Development Associate) program, 100% paid for by Especially for Children.

We seek a qualified teacher, assistant teacher or experienced aide who:

• Relates positively with young children and families
• Has previous Early Childhood Education, childcare or daycare experience
• Has a CDA certification and/or college credits in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred but not required)
• Is passionate about providing quality care and learning opportunities as well as a safe environment for young children
• Plans and implements lesson plans and a daily classroom schedule
• Works cooperatively with other team members
