Job Title: Software Architect / Lead Developer – 50% REMOTE
Work Location: Brooklyn, NY (Mix of Remote and Onsite)
Application Eligibility: Exclusively open to individuals currently residing in the United States.
Hourly Rate: $55-$60
Experience: 8 years 
Duration of Contract: 24 months
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Software Architect/Lead Developer (Full Stack Developer) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and implementing various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including conceptual design, software development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Implementing all phases of SDLC, ensuring the successful development and deployment of applications.
  • Analyzing requirements and data access needs, proposing file and screen designs.
  • Deploying applications across multiple environments, from development through Quality Assurance, Staging, and Production.
  • Conducting unit and integration testing.
Outline of Responsibilities:
  • Lead all phases of the software development life cycle, utilizing Visual Studio .Net with SQL Server and Active Directory, following Department of Education standards.
  • Refine and analyze business requirements and data access needs, collaborating with the business analyst and UI/UX manager for screen UI designs.
  • Design and maintain a role-based authentication system for user access.
  • Deploy applications across various environments and conduct thorough testing.
  • Develop complex user interfaces using ASP.Net & Kendo/Telerik controls.
  • Design and develop a core application compatible with external cross-platform projects.
  • Utilize and manage Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) for source control and collaboration.
  • Develop SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages and Web Services.
  • Code new objects (programs) in .NET to meet Department of Education requirements.
  • Lead user acceptance review sessions and collaborate with team members for unit testing.
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications:
  • 8 years of experience in software analysis, design, estimation, development, testing, and support for organizations with 100 applications.
  • Proficiency in C#, VB.net, MVC 4.0/5.0, .NET Core, Web API, HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript, Angular, .Net Framework, jQuery.
  • Experience with MS Visual Studio 2019/2017 and database design in SQL Server 2014/2016.
  • Strong unit testing and integration testing experience, including documentation and bug tracking.
  • 6 years of experience building SSIS packages and SSRS reports.
Preferable Qualifications:
  • Previous education industry/project experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Detailed and process-oriented.
  • Experience in VSS/TFS for source code management.
  • Responsive design experience for mobile devices.
  • Cloud application development and DevOps processes.
  • Application of design patterns and security best practices.
  • Expertise in various technologies: .Net, Web API, MS Azure, Azure DevOps, XML, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Ajax, JavaScript, jQuery, RESTful Web Service, Angular, SOAP, .Net Core, Multithreading, Generics, Serialization, Externalization, and ORM tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Algorithms and Data structures.
  • Proficiency in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
