Esme Hotel is Hiring a Room Attendant Near Miami Dade, FL

Infinity Hospitality, a subsidiary of the New York-based Infinity Collective, proudly launches its first Miami-based hotel and is ready to build an opening team of leaders who are enthusiastic about raising the bar in the Miami Beach hospitality space. The property, branded Esmé Miami Beach, is a unique boutique hotel located along Miami Beach's historic pedestrian corridor, Española Way. Originally built as a 1920's artist village, the Spanish-Mediterranean revival property comprises eight buildings featuring 145 hotel rooms, including 4 suites, and five original food & beverage concepts (including two outsourced). Nestled alongside a collection of the street's time-honored cafés, Esmé will bring a new style of chic escapism to Miami Beach by raising the standard and not following it.

A Room Attendant is responsible for providing guests services in the hotel.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Principle Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing.
  • Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards.
  • Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies.
  • Notify superiors on any damages, deficits and disturbances.
  • Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
  • Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate.
  • Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practice.
  • Establishing and maintaining good communications and teamwork with colleagues and other departments
  • Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming includes adhering to the proper dress code when working.
  • Handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible, resolving customer complaints, assisting guests in all inquiries connected with hotel services and amenities, hours of operations.
  • Assisting with guest request services to hotel guests that need it.
  • Greeting all guests passing through the guest hallway, Public areas and offer them assistance.
  • Handling a guest request, delivery to the guest room.
  • Creating a friendly, comfortable, and helpful atmosphere for guests that demonstrate the highest standards of hospitality.
  • Understanding all fire/safety procedures, including OSHA/MSDS requirements, and providing necessary assistance to guests and employees in the event of an emergency
  • Participating in scheduled departmental meetings and all other relevant meetings as requested
  • Adhering to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, and verbal instructions
  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands.
  • Must be able to make fast-paced periodical movements are required to go from one part of the property to others.
  • Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 20 pounds.
  • Must be able to kneel, bend, crouch occasionally, and climb is required.
  • Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting, cleaning, and stooping.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, reach, push, twist, walk, crouch, and squat.
  • Never ignore a Guest, always stop what you are doing to make eye contact, smile, and greet

the guest.

Additional Qualifications and Skills:

A candidate for this position must possess the following applicable knowledge, skills, and abilities and demonstrate and provide relevant examples to support their competencies.

  • Proven experience as a Cleaner or Housekeeper
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
  • Customer-oriented and friendly
  • Prioritization and time management skills
  • Working quickly without compromising quality
  • Must be able to access all areas of the property across varied terrain and footing.
  • Six (6) months hotel or related experience preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate professionally in English, both written and verbal. Conversational abilities in other languages helpful. Preferably Spanish.
  • Must be able to multi-task and display the ability to recognize that the guests' interests and needs are always primary. Must be able to lift at least 20 lbs. regularly. Must be able to access all areas of the property across varied terrain and footing.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of job-related processes and systems.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of information.
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to multi-task and display the ability to recognize that the guests' interests and needs are always primary.
  • Must possess a professional presentation.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm and courteous.
